Campfire Peach Cobbler

Ingredients:

1 cup flour

1/2 cup sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup milk

1/4 butter, melted

15 ounce canned or jarred sliced peaches (about 2 cups)

2 tablespoons sugar

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions:

Step one:

Prepare 20 charcoal briquettes until they are white-hot. Line dutch oven with heavy duty foil.

Step two:

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, milk and melted butter, mixing only until incorporated.

Step three:

Pour the batter into the prepared Dutch oven, layer the peaches on top, and sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.

Step four:

Place the Dutch oven over  5 briquettes on the bottom and 11 on the lid. The cobbler is ready when it is golden and cooked through, which takes roughly 20-30 minutes total.

Serve:

It will be hot but serve it warm. If you brought ice cream or whip cream on your camping trip I recommend topping the cobbler with either of those.
