Ham & Cheese Bowtie Bake

Ingredient:

1 package farfalle pasta (16 oz)

1/4 cup butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup flour

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

2 cups milk

2 cups shredded Colby cheese

1/2 teaspoon mustard

2 ham steaks, julienned

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

Step one:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step two:

In a large saucepan melt butter over medium heat and then sautee garlic for 30 seconds. Turn off heat and whisk in flour, mix until flour and butter combine with no lumps. Return to heat, add salt and pepper and whisk over heat for 1 to 2 mins.

Step three:

In the same saucepan, whisk milk and bring to a boil. Boil for 1 minute and then stir in cheese and mustard, stirring until melted. Remove from heat and add ham and pasta, mixing until combined.

Step four:

Pour into a 2 quart baking dish and top with parmesan cheese. Bake for 25 – 30 or until bubbly.

Serve:

This is best served warm but it will be quite hot when it comes out of the oven. Enjoy!
