St. Patrick's Day Pancakes

Ingredients:

1/2 cup buttermilk

1/2 cup water

1 cup flour

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 egg 2 tablespoons butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla

green food dye

green sprinkles

Instructions:

Step one:

Combine the dry ingredients first, then whisk in the wet ingredients.

Step two:

Add the food dye, about 6-10 drops. Make sure to add enough to make the pancake color pop. Let the batter rest for a short period so it can rise.

Step three:

Heat a griddle or pan to a med-high setting, melt butter. Cook until small bubbles pop and stay open form on the surface before flipping.

Serve:

Serve with green/festive sprinkles on top and some maple syrup.

Tips: Adjust the heat if the pancakes are darkening too quickly.
